Whitespace was a creative event that brought together bright, curious, and engaged creative thinkers in Chicago. The event was a celebration of sketching and the creative process. Part discussion panel, part artmaking, part mixer—Whitespace is a place where collaboration, discourse, and gleeful overindulgence intersect.
The evening was headlined by a panel discussion with Mig Reyes (designer), Max Sansing (painter), and Megan Milks (author), followed by healthy doses of mingling and beer. All participants were given Field Notes journals, Sharpies and a spot at our sketch wall where said Sharpies were put to good use.
In leading the creation and development of Whitespace I wore many hats. Designer, planner, negotiator, recruiter, writer, editor, cold-caller, booze securer, just to name a few. It was nearly as awesome as the truly amazing people that invested in this dream with me and helped make it happen.
