Finding a primary care provider is one of the most important and difficult healthcare choices we make. BCBS sought to refine their process, making it simpler and more personal for their users. We were tasked with putting together a demonstration video of the site experience.
The approach to this project began with sketching. Most of our time was spent with pencil and paper establishing flow and storyboarding. We presented the sketched storyboard to sell the concept and that simplicity became the groundwork for our visual style.
I provided art direction and design to the motion designer, giving him all graphic elements and key frames for composition. As new cuts came in, I updated graphics and provided feedback on pacing, transitions and animation speed. The video made its debut alongside a redesigned Dr. Finder site; both of which experienced great success.
